Why Study Marketing

Accreditation

Many employers will only hire graduates from accredited universities and Duquesne's A.J. Palumbo School of Business and John F. Donahue Graduate School of Business are among an elite 15 percent of business schools worldwide that meet the rigorous academic standards necessary to earn accreditation from the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB).

Job Outlook

Employment of advertising, marketing, promotions, public relations, and sales managers is expected to increase faster than the average for all occupations through 2014, spurred by intense domestic and global competition in products and services offered to consumers. However, projected employment growth varies by industry.

Location

Duquesne's proximity to the commercial hub of downtown Pittsburgh provides students with a competitive edge due to the many opportunities to gain professional experience through internships with local corporations. In fact, the placement rate for A.J. Palumbo School of Business students in their chosen fields or in graduate degree programs exceeds 90 percent.

Our program has internships that can be integrated into any student's program of study, leading to many different career opportunities. Contact Career Services to begin the process.
