Moore School Announces Winners in Sustainability Syllabi/Curricula Competition

(7/8/2009) Duquesne University’s innovative, one-year MBA Environmental Sustainability Curriculum integrates sustainability across all business disciplines – accounting, finance, marketing, operations management, information technology, and economics. The program provides a unique approach that combines rigorous coursework in the standard business subjects with core courses in sustainable theories and models, cross-functional case studies, and service-learning consulting projects.

Congrats to Mary Deet, 2009 Richter Scholar

(5/7/2009) Duquesne University student Mary Deet was among the supply management scholars honored at the R. Gene Richter Scholarship Awards Dinner. Deet is entering her senior year at Duquesne University where she is pursuing a bachelor’s degree in the A.J. Palumbo School of Business Administration, with concentrations in information systems management and supply chain management. Congrats, Mary, on a job well done!

MBA Students Receive FEI Recognition and Awards

(4/28/2009) Two MBA students, Nisa Ektas and David Grupp, each received $1,000 and certificate of recognition as FEI scholars from Financial Executives International. The awards were part of a university outreach program that recognizes outstanding students from area universities. Other recipients were from Carnegie Mellon, University of Pittsburgh, and IUP. The ceremony held at the Duquesne Club included a talk by the mayor of Pittsburgh followed by dinner. Congratulations Nisa and David!
