Why is AACSB International accreditation
important?
The accredited
member schools participate in establishing standards in several
areas that help to define quality in business education.
schools are required to meet those standards to earn initial
accreditation and maintain accreditation status through periodic
on-site reviews by accreditation teams.
Drawing on the expertise of
the thought leaders in management education, AACSB establishes
guidelines for curriculum content, faculty qualifications,
full-time faculty requirements, ongoing professional development
of faculty, processes for the continuous improvement of curricula
and instruction, and standards for student selection.
In addition, accredited schools
are expected to assess the outcomes of their programs to
assure that their stated learning goals are being met. The
MBA catalogue provides a statement of program outcomes. Our
commitment to you is that our program is designed to help
you achieve the competencies identified in that statement.
The mandates for achieving
and maintaining international accreditation require a major
commitment of resources, the most significant being the investment
in full-time faculty with the professional and academic backgrounds
commensurate with the demands necessary to deliver a course
of study of the highest quality.
When selecting a school for
your graduate business education, consider choosing one that
has met the rigorous standards for accreditation established
by AACSB International. That is the best way for you to assure
you are receiving the highest quality business education
possible, an education provided by a distinct minority of
the business schools worldwide. |
