SMA Meeting with Guest Speaker

The Sports Marketing Association will be having a meeting with guest speaker Andrew Parish, Operations Manager, of the Mario Lemieux Foundation. He will be discussing the history of the foundation, how they are involved with the Penguins, how the economy has affected the organization, and possible internship opportunities. Everyone is welcome to attend.

Creating Your Own Personal Brand

Chris Debord, the Regional HR Director for Home Depot will be speaking about "Creating Your Own Personal Brand." How do I make myself stand out in the job marketplace? He will also discuss patterns of success, what he looks for in a job applicant, and how to prepare your job search! He has 20 years of experience in HRM with Westinghouse, Pepsi-Co, and Whirlpool. Please know that this is a talk about hiring for ALL types of business functions. Refreshments will be served.

Dine in style with your peers and hear from the Director of Career Services, Nicole Feldhues, on important networking and etiquette techniques that will be key to your professional success. Advanced registration at the Career Services Center is required by Friday November 6th. Cost is $5. Business attire required.
