The Dominion Distinguished
Scholar Award was established in 1992 through
a unique and exciting partnership between Duquesne
University's A. J. Palumbo School of Business
Administration and John F. Donahue Graduate
School of Business and CNG, which has become
Dominion.
As part of Dominion's
on-going commitment to higher education and
recognition of academic excellence, the company
established the Dominion Distinguished Scholar
Award. The award is given annually to the graduating
senior of Duquesne's A. J. Palumbo School of
Business Administration who best exemplifies
the qualities of intellect, character and business
acumen necessary for success in today's global
economy.
The Dominion Distinguished
Scholar Award recipient will clearly demonstrate
a balanced preparation for formal entry into
the business world as the award recognizes:
academic achievement; contributions to the
University and the community; demonstrated
leadership in volunteer and professional activities;
and an acute understanding of the requisite
qualities necessary for attaining success in
today's global marketplace.
The mission of the A.
J. Palumbo School of Business Administration
stresses the importance of a commitment to
quality, a global perspective, a well-developed
sense of ethics, and responsible citizenship
within the community.
