Title: Managing Operations
Description: An organization’s operating system converts input – materials, people, knowledge, machines, buildings, technology, cash, and other resources — into products and services in a scientific, socially responsible and ethical manner. The course will focus on five basic areas: operations strategy and the four dimensions on which businesses compete – cost, quality, timeliness and flexibility. Emphasis will be placed on concepts and methodologies applicable to both manufacturing and service.
